Taking The Time To Live Positively

How do you spend your time?

How do you spend your time?

About a month ago, I had the pleasure of having Victor Sinclair, the founder of PMI, into my house for supper.  During this time, we spoke of Victor’s visions for PMI, and PI.  At this time, Victor also expressed the need for all of the members to positively participate in the blog writing on the site.

With that being said….

he left, and I thought, I should write a blog.  Now a month later, here I am, finally getting my thoughts down, and I feel guilty, for not writing sooner, for not living ‘positively’ but rather in a neutral position, where I am not participating in the PMI.

Quite often, as the story goes, this is how we spend our time, our lives, always thinking, I can do it tomorrow, I will do it next week… and eventually, the time never comes, or we have lost our drive that we had in the first place.

When we want to live our lives positively, it means to be aware, of every moment, and every second that we are here, using it positively, to engage ourselves, enlighten ourselves, and that of the world around us.

It is quite easy for us to lose track of our goals, in the midst of life.  There is laundry, and housework, bosses, and employees, children, and family members.  There’s the distraction of t.v, social networking, entertainment, and the like.  While none of these are direct negative influences in anyone’s life, they can take away, from a person’s purpose, as well as their goals.

When we participate fully in our lives, we can find the balance between our leisure time, and our goal setting time.  When our goals become fulfilled, it will seem as though it’s all leisure time!

Participate in your life today!

Participate in your life today!

Quite often, we forget the importance of our dreams, and let our minds get sidetracked.  When this happens, we make our goal seem that much further away, that much more unreachable.

When you take the time, to actively, positively participate in your life, and in your goals, you will see the solutions to any problems that might arise.  When you participate, you will see that your goals will come to you!

In his movie, Yes Man, starring Jim Carrey, his character learned to say ‘ YES’ to life, rather than ‘no’.  This movie showed a man, who went from living in a very negative, very inactive life, to a fully lived, fully loved life.

You too, can start saying yes.  You can start participating today, in your life, in your goals.

This is your time to shine!

Until next time,

Live love and love life,

xoCatherine Graham

  • Catherine, I think you hit the nail on the head when you talked about balance. I would add to that, that structure is also key. It is structure that adds systems and controls, which is the first step in reducing things like to much TV time or Twitter time… or even staying too long for a coffee visit.

It is that structure which also contributes to the issue of balance. For example you have a small business and you have a task like marketing your web site. Well by definition you have an infinity/endless task, so you have to have controls to make sure your prioritize what you want to do re: adwords etc. and then you have to have controls which limits your time because by definition you’ll never be done, so in order to return to your family or other planned leisure activity you need to put that control in first and commit to it.

It really does take a great deal of time and thought to live a positive life.

As this web site points out so wisely…..

To much of our world is lived in the Neutral.

Hedging, procrastinating, sitting on fences and simply just not participating.

Oh and Not Voting ! One of my pet peeves…

People who don’t vote, should be cut off from any Government Benefits… or sent to live in a country that has dictators.

Put me down as undecided lol.

Goal setting is very important specially if you want to plan long term.~ To live positively, a direction and roadmap is essential.

Goal setting is very important if you want something to be done in a short period of time. The older you get, the faster time goes by. Goals simply put more life in your time as you now have a structure to your accomplishments and if you do them correctly as in, put them into a time frame you then make yourself accountable. That’s how to live more positively.
