Posithanks ~ We are grateful for “Cell Phones”

PosiThanks Volume 6 –> 365 Themes Of Gratitude. Theme this week is 178 and we are grateful for Cell Phones.

PosiThanks is grateful for cell phones. And that's the Positive Imperative.

Who can really go back from having a mobile phone to not having one? Yeah, that’s what I thought and that’s why we are grateful for these little devices that changed our lives. How many times have we been in emergencies and they came to the rescue, let alone the ease of communication with friends and family anytime anywhere, the numerous uses in business and one’s career saving time. These magic devices came a long way and now can act as HR cameras, are connected to the net, and have all kinds of applications. The future looks bright!

We probably must also thank inventor Charles E. Alden who, claimed in the 29 April 1906 issue of the New York World, to have invented a device called the “vest pocket telephone”. And must thank Japan too who launched world’s first commercial automated cellular network NTT in 1979, which was followed by Nordic Mobile Telephone (NMT) system in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden. Several countries then followed in the early-to-mid 1980s including the UK, Mexico and Canada.

So, thank you mobiles for making things a lot easier and lot more fun!
