The 2016 Election created the longest and most fierce Negative News bashing in the history of US Media. If you’re asking yourself which side was the most negative, it really didn’t matter if you were watching the Left and MSNBC or the Right and Fox, it was pretty much all negative.
Elie Wiesel wrote this articles opening quote. He was a survivor of the Nazi death camps of WWII. The law of averages suggests that he should not have survived. The law of survivor averages further suggests that he should have been bitter, vengeful, and insane from the horror he lived through as an impressionable young person but instead he became a prolific and celebrated author of stories filled with the triumph and resilience of the human spirit, surviving the darkness of humanity.
So often we make decisions from fear and worry especially when it comes to taking a leadership role. I too have had times where I questioned whether or not I should take a leadership position because I was so worried about being judged. But I realized that worrying so much about the opinions of others stops me from being ME! I knew I had to start letting go of the what ifs’.
